Natural Rubber Latex (NRL) is made from natural latex tapped from rubber trees. NRL is primarily supplied in the Southeast Asian region from Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It takes rubber trees 5-6 years to mature before being capable of producing rubber. For this reason, latex as a raw material may not be able to meet the demand in the market. Today, latex is a commodity and pricing is seen to be quite volatile since the price is directly tied to the supply and demand.
